How we work
At Translations MON, we streamline the translation of a document, the sworn translation of a deed or the revision of a scientific article in 3 steps: quote, acceptance, reception. This process often only lasts a few days, sometimes even less. Underpinning these three steps, however, is a team working hard to ensure that the process is a simple and speedy one.

What you don’t see
1. Analysis of your documents
Before starting work on your documents, we need to see them and read them. Whether it is a Word document, a PDF, a photocopy, a web link, an XML package or an audio file, every document requires specific treatment. In some cases, a range of people will have to work on the documents before the translator can start their part of the process. The work of the analyst is important to systematise the whole translation process and save translation times and costs. With your documents in front of them, the analyst will decide on the extent, the type, the topic covered, the format, the purpose, the technological resources required to process them and any issues that may arise during the entire process up to returning the translation to you. It is at this stage that we draw up the work plan, which is essential to determine the exact day we will send the completed work to you.
2. Selecting the team
Any number from three to dozens of people may take part in a translation project. Selecting the right team (analysts, processors, translators, managers, reviewers, layout designers, etc.) is not just important in terms of maintaining a standard procedure, but also of choosing the best in every area: art, law, IT, history, economics, medicine, etc. Traduccions MON has a team of hundreds of translation professionals thanks to whom we are able to offer the best service at all times, both for small-scale projects and for high-volume multi-language projects.
3. Terminology management (data mining)
The terminology used in any text is as important as how it is written. Given this, terminology calls for specific work. The translator has to familiarise themselves with the specific terms in the text they are going to translate. This is why glossaries, terminology databases and statutory and official sources in every language are important. Extracting the terminology and phraseology of a text, and looking for it in the sector documentation, in statutory language tools and in specialist dictionaries, will enable the translator to use the exact words during the translation process.
4. Translation
This is the engine room! Translations MON only works with qualified and experienced translators. Thanks to the stages prior to the translation, the translator can focus exclusively on writing the text, using the precise terms and the most appropriate expressions for every context.
5. Quality Assurance
The translation is ready: exact terminology and impeccable writing. Now it has to be polished because besides being perfect, it has to be seen to be perfect. The reviewer is responsible for ensuring that the quality expected of the translation is effectively the final quality of the text. Working closely with the translators, the terminology managers and the experts in every field (economics, legislation, biology, engineering, IT, medicine, etc.), the reviewer leaves the documents in the right condition for delivery.
